The Lunar Cycle was created as a continuation and extension of the formal considerations undertaken earlier in the works Postument I, Postument II. The inner space of the pedestal becomes a place where the “surreal” dimension develops, presenting a fragment of the “moon” landscape. Symbols from the world of dreams appear in it, or forms introducing suggestions of the hidden presence of life into this desert tectonics.
From the formal point of view, these are succesive works building their tension on juxtapositions of forms referring to the tradition of abstract, formalistic art with “romantic” disturbances. I introduce objects saturated with meanings into the spaces of geometric, plain figures, generating an unexpected narrative in such a connection.
