Janusz Janczy

artist

Born in Tarnów. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he studied sculpture under guidance of prof. Stefan Borzęcki and in 1999, he received his diploma in studio of prof. Jerzy Nowakowski. 2000-2003 he studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Nürnberg (2000 – DAAD Stipendium, 2002 – Shakespeare-Studienstipendum der Alfred Toepfer Stiftung F.V.S.) in studios of prof. Tim Scott and prof. Claus Bury.
The winner of the prize for sculpture “Gustav-Weidanz-Preis für Plastic 2002” in Halle. 2006-2009 participant of Stationary Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Sculpture in Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he has been academic at the Faculty of Sculpture since 2009.
