Between the world of plants, animals and inanimate bodies

The concept of this series of sculptures draws on the earlier Botanikus series, but thematically expands its reference to posthumanist considerations. Its purpose is to draw our attention to the world of beings we don’t necessarily recognize, to hybrid forms, to the relationship between the animate and inanimate worlds, and to expand our imagination and sensitivity to how we coexist with other beings.

While the earlier series formally explored the tensions between sculpture and painting, transitions from illusory to real space, this series operates, one might say, within the “traditional” sculptural space. Nevertheless, the works are aimed at continuing my research in discovering the potential of materials and searching for sensual and intriguing expressions for sculptural form.
